Educating potential rape victims about the power of forensics is critical because immediate awareness of how medical evidence is collected and preserved directly protects the integrity of the prosecution's case from the very beginning. In sexual assault prosecutions, physical evidence is often the deciding factor in securing a guilty verdict.

Medical & Neurobiological Literacy

Institutional Accountability

  •  Educates individuasl on the brain's involuntary survival reflexes—specifically tonic immobility (the freeze response)—ensuring peers understand that a lack of physical resistance does not equal consent. Directs all acute care exclusively to regional SANE (Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner) programs (Morton Hospital, Sturdy Memorial, Good Samaritan).
  • Navigates local victim-witness advocate rights, Title IX regulatory mandates, and state criminal standards. Focuses on demanding state-funded advocacy accompaniment (via New Hope, Inc. or BARCC) from the moment of initial disclosure.

Network & Peer Mobilization

Evidence & Forensic Safeguards

  • Replaces passive bystander behavior with active, peer-led intervention strategies. Establishes a strict co-educational classroom standard that holds social spaces accountable and dismantles pervasive rape myths.
  • Instructs individuals on non-invasive physical preservation rules (utilizing separate paper bags to prevent biological degradation of clothing evidence; preserving toxicology windows) and immediate digital archiving (exporting rideshare timestamps, metadata, and messaging logs).
